Gemasi’s biggest annual event, Padjadjaran English Competition 2021 (previously Gemasi’s English Competition), will be held again in October. This competition consists of four (4) categories: Speech, Storytelling, Poetry Reading, and Short Story Writing.
For this year, PEC 2021 will carry the theme: “Embracing Diversity through Literature”. As the theme suggests, this competition aims for the participants to be able to share their experiences and views on issues of (in)equalities that include (but not limited to) gender, class, race, sexuality, and nationality.
We are also truly honored to announce that we will be having Minanto, the winner of Sayembara Novel DKJ 2019 and one of the shortlisted candidates for Anugrah Susastra Kemendikbud RI as well as Rangga Bhuana of Teater Koma as two of the remarkable judges for the competition.
The winners will be awarded a total prize of IDR 18,000,000 + goodie bags from the Embassy of Australia. In addition, every participant will be given vouchers for lessons at The British Institute.
The competition categories will be as follows:
- High School:
– Poetry reading
– Short story writing
The registration fee for each of the categories is IDR 125,000 per person. Three (3) participants from the same institution can get a group price of IDR 350,000.
