Gelanggang Mahasiswa Sastra Inggris (Gemasi), the Unpad English Studies Program student union, is holding the 9th Padjadjaran English Competition for high-school and university students on November 30 and December 1, 2024. The event includes competitions in speech, story-telling, and short-story writing for high-school students. There are also competitions in speech, poetry-reading and writing, short-story writing, and essay writing for university students. The 9th PEC is open to any high school and university student all around the world.

The judges for these competitions will include academics and artists from various Indonesian universities as well as established writers from various countries such as Keni Soeriatmadja, Angelo R. (Sarge) Lacuesta, Mark Spears, Heru Joni Putra, Dhianita Kusuma Pertiwi, Martin Suryajaya, Christian Benitez, Joselito Delos Reyes, and Farooq Kperogi.
